Rattlesnake Lake Engagament // Tyler & Elyse

Rattlesnake Lake is a location I've wanted to shoot at for a long time so when Tyler & Elyse said they were down for shooting there I got very excited. I was less excited when I had to get up at 5:15am on a weekend morning but it was definitely worth it to have no crowds.

For those who don't know, Rattlesnake Lake is about an hour outside of Seattle towards Snoqualmie Pass and it is b-e-autiful. For some reason there are a lot of tree stumps in the water and it's surrounded by green forest and the mountains and it's very #PNW. While it was a beautiful location, Tyler and Elyse only had eyes for each other, as it should be! We started their engagement shoot at the edge of the lake and it was quite windy which gave Elyse that beautiful windswept look with her hair blowing in the wind.

Once they'd gotten close to turning into icicles we headed into a nearby wooded area to get some shelter from the wind. There we did one of my favourite things to do at engagement shoots, playing the A-B-C game! Similar to word association, it tells me a lot about a couple and how they interact, plus it's often just hilarious!

Tyler & Elyse are getting married just outside Leavenworth in July and from what they've told me their wedding is going to be beautiful!
