Arthur & Max's Morning Engagement Session at Carkeek Park | Seattle Engagement Photographer

There's something special about a quiet morning in Seattle, especially when it's spent exploring one of the city's most beautiful parks with a couple in love. Arthur and Max's engagement session at Carkeek Park was the perfect combination of stunning Pacific Northwest scenery, soft morning light, and genuine moments that made for an unforgettable experience.

As a Seattle engagement photographer, I'm always excited when couples choose locations that showcase the natural beauty of the region. Carkeek Park is one of my favorite spots for engagement photography because it offers a little bit of everything: lush forests, scenic trails, waterfront views, and a peaceful atmosphere that feels miles away from the city.

Arthur and Max wanted their engagement photos to feel authentic and relaxed, reflecting who they are as a couple. A morning session was the perfect choice. Not only does the early light create beautiful, flattering conditions for photography, but the park is also much quieter than it is later in the day. This allowed us to explore the trails and shoreline without distractions and focus entirely on capturing their connection.

We started the session among the towering evergreen trees that make the Pacific Northwest so iconic. The soft morning light filtered through the forest canopy, creating a dreamy backdrop for portraits. Arthur and Max immediately settled into the session, laughing together and enjoying the experience rather than worrying about posing for the camera. Some of my favorite images from the morning came from these natural moments as they walked hand in hand along the trails.

One of the reasons I love being a Seattle couples photographer is the opportunity to tell each couple's unique story. Every relationship has its own personality, and Arthur and Max brought so much warmth and joy to their session. Whether they were sharing a quiet embrace beneath the trees or laughing together along the path, their connection was effortless and genuine.

After exploring the forest, we made our way down to the beach. The waterfront at Carkeek Park offers incredible views of Puget Sound and, on clear mornings, distant mountain peaks. The calm water and soft coastal light created a completely different look from the forest portraits while still feeling cohesive with the rest of the session.

As the morning continued, Arthur and Max spent time walking along the shoreline, taking in the scenery and simply enjoying being together. Those candid interactions are often what make engagement sessions so meaningful. Rather than creating stiff, posed images, my goal is always to document real moments and authentic emotions.

Arthur and Max's engagement session was a beautiful reminder of why Carkeek Park remains one of the best locations for engagement photos in the Seattle area. With its combination of forest trails, waterfront views, and peaceful atmosphere, it's an incredible setting for couples who want photos that feel both adventurous and timeless.

If you're searching for a Seattle engagement photographer or Seattle couples photographer, I'd love to help you create a session that reflects your relationship and captures this exciting chapter of your story. Whether you choose Carkeek Park or another favorite Seattle location, we'll create photographs that you'll treasure for years to come.
