Early summer queer wedding at Trinity Tree Farm
I last saw Brandon and Jude for their engagement session at Richmond Beach Saltwater Park last fall, so I was very excited to see them again for their wedding at Trinity Tree Farm!
Trinity Tree Farm is split into two sides, Brandon and Jude chose The Lodge side for their big day. After arriving and meeting all their wonderful wedding party we did some group shots and family shots before heading right into the ceremony. Skewing tradition, Brandon and Jude chose to walk each other down the aisle, and they looked stunning doing so in their crisp white suits designed by Jena Tumlin.
Their ceremony was short and sweet and since we’d done all the family photos, the grooms got to jump straight into mingling during cocktail hour! Dinner was served shortly thereafter, and what a feast it was! The Tall Chef dished up some delicious BBQ, which you know was good considering Jude is from Louisiana so he knows BBQ! Two short speeches with the maiden of honor on either side followed by the cutting of the most fabulous looking cake designed by Lydia’s Cake & Confections, and just to see if it was as delicious as it looked I of course had a piece. And it was!
The grooms shared their first dance to the song Ordinary by Alex Warren which I didn’t know had a wedding version! Brandon and June then shared a dance with their aunt and mom respectively to I Hope You Dance, a song that always gets my tearducts flowing. To open the dancefloor the guys collaborated with DJ Kelli to do a reverse anniversary dance. They started on the floor by themselves and then added people based on how long they’d been married. The longest was 67 years! What an achievement. DJ Kelli kept the party going all night, throwing in some Disney classics alongside some line dances for quite the eclectic playlist.
