Here in Washington we are lucky enough to be surrounded by beautiful scenery and luckily some smart people thought to build wedding venues in amongst them! In Washington the outdoor wedding season usually lasts from July to October sometime and mostly we are blessed with good weather that allows people to get married outdoors in amongst all that beauty. Here’s my top three outdoor wedding venues in Washington state.
Brown Family Homestead - Leavenworth, Washington (close to Lake Wenatchee)
The first time a couple ever told me they were getting married at Brown Family Homestead I figured it was a family they knew who had a homestead. Turns out I was wrong. Brown Family Homestead is a gorgeous wedding venue nestled in amongst the Cascade Mountains close to Leavenworth, Washington. As such it is about a two and a half hour drive from Seattle but it more than makes up for that minor inconvenience with its natural beauty. For getting ready there are a couple houses available to guests and your first look has plenty of spots to keep you hidden while getting the chance to spend a special moment with your other half. The ceremony site is situated up a hill overlooking the valley and when you’re ready to party there’s a large tent with plenty of seating and a dance floor.
Wandering Waters Farm - Maple Valley, Washington
Like Brown Family Homestead, Wandering Waters Farm is a little out of the way if you’re coming from Seattle. But the sheer “we’re in the middle of nowhere” vibe is exactly what makes this venue shine. You feel like you’re in the middle of nature with nobody around for miles. The ceremony location is a huge field surrounded by trees and mountain views. There’s a huge covered area for dinner and drinks and even a gorgeous fire-pit for smores as the day winds down.
Wallace Falls Lodge - Gold Bar, Washington
Apparently my theme for “outdoor venues” is ones tucked out of the way but like the two before, Wallace Falls Lodge is about an hour and a half from Seattle. Nestled just behind the mountain town of Gold Bar the lodge is a commanding building set in a ring of forestry. The lodge itself can host a big chunk of your guests and can also be used for getting ready purposes. There is a separate tent to use for your dinner and reception as well as an outdoor space if the weather cooperates. The ceremony location backs onto the forest and all your photos will come out looking #SOPNW. There is also a fire pit here for all your smores needs.
