Romantic Early Fall Wedding at Maroni Meadows | Snohomish Wedding Venue

Alizee & Keenan’s September wedding at Maroni Meadows in Snohomish, Washington was the perfect blend of elegant and playful, while also being deeply personal for them both.

The day began with Alizee getting ready on site at Maroni Meadows with her bridesmaids and Mom occasionally popping by for moral support. Keenan got ready off site but we did some final touches on location for his photos so he got to feel like a superstar.

Alizee and Keenan knew they wanted to do a first look that we managed to sneak in just before their ceremony began, it was cute getting to see how excited they were to see each other before their day truly began. Since we had enough time, Alizee did a quick first look with her Dad also who was clearly over the moon for his daughter on her wedding day.

The ceremony site at Maroni Meadows is out on a dock like structure that gives the couple a little bit of privacy whilst still allowing guests to se everything going on. Thankfully during the three weddings I’ve done at Maroni Meadows now, nobody has yet fallen into the water.

After the ceremony Alizee and Keenan snuck away to sign their license with friend turned officiant Jill and their two witnesses which was both their siblings, a cute touch keeping it within the family. It was clear throughout their interactions all day that this was because their siblings were their best friends and not just an obligation thing.

Once the official paperwork was signed, we did a quick round of family photos before Alizee and Keenan joined their guests for the rest of cocktail hour. I’ve noticed a shift this year that couples are doing less formal family photos so they have more time for hanging out with their guests during cocktail hour. I can’t say I hate it to be honest!

Dinner was a delicious paella cooked up from scratch by Paella House in their giant paella pans and it was a huge hit! Once everyone was full on paella, Alizee’s Dad surprised everyone with my favorite moment of the day. In lieu of giving a speech he gave a slideshow. He’d gathered photos from all throughout Alizee’s life and it was such a magical few minutes getting to watch all the guests watch it, many of them laugh sobbing as they saw a past version of themselves appear. It reminded me how important the job of photography is.

Alizee and Keenan did a quick cake cutting before the party moved over to the dance floor and DJ Matthew Harris got the party started and didn’t stop until Alizee and Keenan left through their bubble arch exit! All in all it was a magical day and it was clear Alizee and Keenan had the best day with their family and friends around them.
