Sierra & Nicole’s Gorgeous Fall Wedding at Trinity Tree Farm
There are some weddings where every detail feels intentional, every person in the room feels important, and the entire day seems to revolve around one simple thing: celebrating two people who found each other. Sierra and Nicole’s Fall wedding at Trinity Tree Farm near Seattle, Washington was exactly that kind of wedding.
Located just outside Seattle, Trinity Tree Farm is an incredible wedding venue for couples looking for a Pacific Northwest setting. Surrounded by towering trees and natural beauty, the venue provided a gorgeous backdrop for Sierra and Nicole’s October wedding.
But what made their wedding especially memorable wasn’t simply the setting. It was the thoughtfulness behind the entire day.
Sierra and Nicole were intentional with every part of their wedding. From the people they invited to the food they served and the small details they incorporated throughout the celebration, everything felt like it had a purpose. Rather than creating a wedding simply because of what they thought a wedding was “supposed” to look like, they created a day that reflected who they are and what mattered most to them.
One of the most meaningful parts of Sierra and Nicole’s wedding was seeing how many people traveled from all over the country to be there.
Their wedding wasn't just a gathering of local friends and family. People made long journeys to Seattle and the surrounding area because celebrating Sierra and Nicole was important to them.
That sense of community was present throughout the entire day. There was an obvious feeling that everyone there was genuinely excited to be together and, more importantly, genuinely excited to celebrate Sierra and Nicole.
That is one of my favorite things about photographing weddings: getting to witness the relationships surrounding a couple and documenting the people who traveled near and far to be part of such an important moment.
The intentionality continued into the food and dessert.
Sierra and Nicole chose The Tall Chef as their caterer, providing their guests with a memorable meal as they celebrated together. But they didn't stop there when it came to dessert.
For late-night treats, they brought in Molly Moon’s ice cream, a Seattle favorite that was perfect for a fall evening celebration.
And perhaps the most personal dessert of all? 400 cookies hand baked by Sierra and Nicole themselves.
Four hundred cookies.
That detail says so much about these two. Instead of simply ordering hundreds of cookies from a bakery, they put their own time and effort into making something that could be shared with the people they loved. It was another small-but-huge example of how intentional their entire wedding day was.
As a Seattle LGBTQ+ Photographer, I’m particularly grateful for opportunities to document queer couples and the unique ways they choose to celebrate their relationships.
Sierra and Nicole’s wedding was full of the moments that make wedding photography so meaningful: emotional connections, huge laughs, quiet moments together, hugs from longtime friends, and the energy that comes from having so many people you love gathered in one place.
Their October 2 celebration at Trinity Tree Farm wasn't about following a formula. It was about creating a wedding that felt like them.
And that is exactly what I hope every couple gets from their wedding day.
Sierra and Nicole’s Trinity Tree Farm wedding was a beautiful reminder that the best weddings aren't necessarily the ones with the most elaborate details. They're the ones where every detail, every person, and every moment has meaning.
Whether you're planning a queer wedding, LGBTQ+ wedding, lesbian wedding, gay wedding, or any other celebration of your love, your story deserves to be documented authentically and intentionally.
