Love letters to my wonderful clients and their amazing wedding days.
Wandering Waters Farm Wedding, Maple Falls Washington // Elizabeth & James
When I did Elizabeth & James’ engagement session, I had just gotten off a 16 hour travel day home from Thailand. After only a couple hours home I headed out to Point Defiance State Park to meet them and they were amazing! Needless to say I was very excited to capture their wedding day.
Lincoln Park Couples Session // Megan and Marsha
I first met Marsha two years ago when she officiated the wedding of Sabrina & Jenn so when she reached out to me earlier this year to do a shoot, I immediately said yes!
Defiance Point Park Engagement Session // Elizabeth & James
For most people, scheduling an engagement session the day after you fly back from Thailand would be a bad idea. Thankfully for me it was with James and Elizabeth and it was amazing and we had the best light ever.
Jack Block Park Engagement Session // Michael & Brian
I’d never heard of Jack Block Park before Michael & Brian mentioned they wanted to do their engagement session there and the way they described it plus my overactive imagination had me envisioning something very industrial with lots of concrete and steel bars.
Thankfully the reality couldn’t have been further from the truth.
Picnic Point Engagement Session // Kayla & Tanner
After working two solid weeks, scheduling an engagement session at 7am on the first day you can sleep in seems crazy, but I knew the light would be perfect so I bit the bullet and set my alarm for 6am.
Dash Point State Park Engagement Session // McKenna & James
McKenna and James’ engagement session was originally supposed to be on the Sunday evening but I had a cancellation on the Saturday and asked if they’d like to switch. I figured, Saturday’s are more relaxed and further from the start of another work week so it would be more fun.
Rosario Beach Couples Shoot // Matt & Mae - PhotoLush 2019
The second part to the “Frame your couples with nature” breakout at PhotoLush 2019 was hosted by Celina Meza Photography. Last year she gave a talk about engagement sessions and working with couples so I was really excited to see her in action this year and she didn’t disappoint! Her couple Matt & Mae were adorable and so comfortable in front of the camera.
Rosario Beach Couples Shoot // Anna & Josh - PhotoLush 2019
This past weekend I attended PhotoLush for the third time and it was the best time yet! Not only did I get to present and lead a breakout (more on that in a coming post) but I also got to attend a breakout hosted by the wonderful Afton Lewis and Celina Meza. They hosted a joint breakout on using nature to frame your couples, at the beautiful and #SOPNW Rosario Beach, just by Deception Pass.
Ballard Locks Family Session // The Ratcliffe Family
When I moved to Seattle just over four years ago, Amber and her family were some of my very first clients and we did a couple of sessions together before they moved to the East Coast. Well last fall they came back for a vacation to visit family and they took time out to get some updated family photos! We decided to go to the same place we went for that very first shoot, the Ballard Locks, and thankfully the weather cooperated and we were able to get some beautiful family photos.
Richmond Beach Portraits // Plus Size Pioneer
Last summer when I was considering switching camera systems from Canon to Sony, I rented a Sony A7III and asked Andrea if she wanted to model for some portraits for me to test it out. We headed out to Richmond Beach Saltwater Park on a beautiful afternoon just as the sun was setting and captured some magic!
SeaTac In-Home Portraits // Kendall (@FatBabeBoudoir)
I’ve known Kendall for years online but I only got to shoot with her for the first time last month when we collaborated on some in-home boudoir portraits. Normally behind the camera, Kendall wanted to step in front of the lens to build up her modeling portfolio. Seriously, how amazing does she look?
Northacres Family Session // The Sliva's
When I first moved to Seattle almost four years ago, Hitomi and her family were one of my first clients. When we did that shoot Paul was but a little toddler, now he’s off to school! That’s not all that’s changed, he now has an adorable little sister. Like all older siblings, Paul’s happiness at having a younger sibling ebbs and flows but thankfully on this day he was happy to have someone to play in the leaves with on a beautiful crisp fall day.
Franklin Falls Engagement Session // Carly & Ana
When Carly & Ana told me that they were incorporating their dogs into their wedding, I immediately threw a contract in their face and said “BOOK ME FOR THIS WEDDING” because ohmygosh doesn’t a wedding with dogs sound like heaven?
Downtown Seattle Couple Shoot // Megan & Derek
Megan & Derek travelled from their home in Southern California to visit Seattle in December. Are they insane? Maybe. But more importantly they were celebrating an amazing anniversary and wanted to go somewhere neither of them had been!
Lord Hill Farms Wedding // Rachel & Kelsey
Where to even start with Rachel & Kelsey’s wedding? Well I knew after their engagement session (see it here) that these two were going to be a hoot and they didn’t disappoint!
Wallace Falls Lodge Wedding // Evan & Kelsey
Evan & Kelsey’s wedding was beautiful and intimate at the most beautiful and intimate location. Nestled in front of the Cascade mountains just outside of Seattle, Wallace Falls Lodge is a stunning, nature filled venue that is quiet and serene.
The River House at Index Wedding // Adam & Amanda
Amanda & Adam’s beautiful rural wedding in Index, WA nestled amongst the majesty of the Cascade Mountains.
Lummi Island Wedding // Ally & Talyn
Ally & Talyn’s gothic wedding on Lummi Island was perfect and fit them to a tee.
Brown Family Homestead Wedding // Tyler & Elyse
When Tyler and Elyse initially told me the name of their venue, I thought it was a family relations home. I mean that’s the way the name makes it sound, right? Turns out it was not in fact any relation at all but the most gorgeous venue in Washington.
