Love letters to my wonderful clients and their amazing wedding days.

The Sanctuary at Admiral West Seattle Wedding // Brian and Michael
When I hung out with Brian and Michael for their engagement session at Jack Block Park, I knew by the end of our time together that their wedding was going to be a riot, and it turns out I was correct!

My top outdoor wedding venues in Washington
Here in Washington we are lucky enough to be surrounded by beautiful scenery and luckily some smart people thought to build wedding venues in amongst them! In Washington the outdoor wedding season usually lasts from July to October sometime and mostly we are blessed with good weather that allows people to get married outdoors in amongst all that beauty. Here’s my top three outdoor wedding venues in Washington state.

Should you have a first look on your wedding day?
I’m originally from the UK where first looks aren’t really a thing at all, so when I moved here and people kept asking me if they should do one for their wedding, I had no idea. Thankfully I now know better.

Salish Lodge Wedding // Jordan and Eric
Jordan and Eric came all the way from Texas to marry in our beautiful corner of the world. They chose Salish Lodge as the venue for their ceremony and reception. Beforehand I met Jordan and Eric at their hotel to get some getting ready photos before heading to the hotel for their beautiful ceremony. At a spot right next to the gorgeous Snoqualmie Falls Jordan and Eric said their I Do’s in front of their closest family.

Winlock Backyard Wedding // Carly and Ana
Way back in 2018 when Carly & Ana hired me to capture their wedding, we met for a consult. At that consult they told me they were going to have their dogs as part of the wedding and I immediately said in my head, these are my people.

Ballard Locks Elopement // Rachel and Emma
Rachel and Emma flew in from Wisconsin to Washington for a gorgeous elopement in Ballard on the rooftop of their AirBnb. Surrounded by just five of their nearest and dearest they said I Do in a beautiful, intimate wedding ceremony.

Machias Meadows Wedding // Laura and Danny
During their engagement session, Laura & Danny told me that their wedding venue had highland cows. Needless to say on the actual day I was VERY excited to see said cows. And they didn’t disappoint!

Carkeek Park Elopement // Anna & Eric
Although they technically eloped in the morning in a private ceremony, Anna & Eric wanted to do photos just the two of them in the evening, as the sun went down on their first day as a married couple. I of course said yes we should do that.

Brightwater Education Center Wedding // Jordan & Greg
Jordan and Greg’s wedding was quintessentially them. It was chilled, it was laid back and it was unassuming. But it was also beautiful, intimate and emotional.

Wandering Waters Farm Wedding, Maple Falls Washington // Elizabeth & James
When I did Elizabeth & James’ engagement session, I had just gotten off a 16 hour travel day home from Thailand. After only a couple hours home I headed out to Point Defiance State Park to meet them and they were amazing! Needless to say I was very excited to capture their wedding day.

Lord Hill Farms Wedding // Rachel & Kelsey
Where to even start with Rachel & Kelsey’s wedding? Well I knew after their engagement session (see it here) that these two were going to be a hoot and they didn’t disappoint!

Wallace Falls Lodge Wedding // Evan & Kelsey
Evan & Kelsey’s wedding was beautiful and intimate at the most beautiful and intimate location. Nestled in front of the Cascade mountains just outside of Seattle, Wallace Falls Lodge is a stunning, nature filled venue that is quiet and serene.

The River House at Index Wedding // Adam & Amanda
Amanda & Adam’s beautiful rural wedding in Index, WA nestled amongst the majesty of the Cascade Mountains.

Lummi Island Wedding // Ally & Talyn
Ally & Talyn’s gothic wedding on Lummi Island was perfect and fit them to a tee.

Brown Family Homestead Wedding // Tyler & Elyse
When Tyler and Elyse initially told me the name of their venue, I thought it was a family relations home. I mean that’s the way the name makes it sound, right? Turns out it was not in fact any relation at all but the most gorgeous venue in Washington.

Westside Church Wedding // Bre & Elliott
Bre & Elliott chose to do their engagement photos at a Seattle Park (Golden Gardens) and they continued that tradition into their wedding by doing their first look at a Seattle Park also. I had never been to Sunset Park but I can see why they were attracted to it. Offering stunning views out across the Puget Sounds to the rolling Olympic Mountains it was quite the backdrop, and backdrop it was because Bre & Elliott only had eyes for each other once they’d seen each other.

Willows Lodge Wedding // Ann & Eric
When I shot Ann & Eric’s engagement photos back in March, I knew they were going to host a fun wedding, and I was right. On a beautiful summer day, a beautiful summer Friday The 13th no less, the two tied the knot at Willows Lodge over in Woodinville, just East of Seattle.

Seattle Aquarium Wedding // Pepper & Keith
Pepper & Keith’s wedding day at the Seattle Aquarium was as beautiful as they come!

Boho Styled Shoot at Rosario Beach // Seattle Wedding Photography
A few months ago I was contacted by Sarah of Serenity Weddings who asked if I would be interested in collaborating in a styled shoot. I've been to one or two but I'd never be involved from the beginning so it was a fun process.
